The exciting music of a Mariachi band embraces the essence of Mexico and its people. Characterised by lively rhythms and the sounds of violins, guitars, vihuelas (a five-stringed guitar) and a trumpet, a typical mariachi band will wear silver studded charro jackets and wide brimmed hats.
As an acoustic ensemble they do not need to be fixed in one place but can stroll from one area of a hotel or restaurant to another and even outside! Since one meaning of mariachi derives, it is thought, from the French word 'mariage' a Mexican band could be highly appropriate for your wedding or special event.
