The Paul Stiles Quartet is a versatile ensemble that can expand to six-piece, or down-size to a trio, and if budget demands reduce down further to a duo (keyboard and sax). Their style of music will cater for everything from Dinner music, Dixieland, Latin, Be- Bop and Modern Jazz. All combinations are available for Jazz Nights, corporate and private functions, wedding receptions, dinners etc. Among the numerous corporate clients for whom they have played includes British Airways and Price Waterhouse, and venues include the Savoy Hotel in London, The Concorde Club near Southampton and many hotels and stately homes including Chewton Glen, Lainston House and Somerley – the Hampshire home of the Earl of Normanton. Paul Stiles has worked with many well known jazz musicians including Johnny Dankworth, Ronnie Scott, Frankie Vaughan and played with the Glen Miller UK Orchestra. Their CD recording Groovin' High, featuring many original arrangements combined with some Dizzy Gillespie and Hoagy Carmichael, has received critical acclaim. |
