Phil Doyle began playing the piano at the age of 5. Although classically trained his main interests are now Jazz, Big Bands and Dance Bands.He embarked on a career as an Army musician in the early 80s where he also played trombone retiring in early 2003. He is now freelancing and is in demand on the local jazz circuit and also as a solo cocktail pianist.He was a member of the Bournemouth Jazz Orchestra for 7 years and has often accompanied visiting American jazz stars including Bobby Shew, Scott Hamilton, Kenny Davern and Harry Allen.
