Established quartet of experienced players
The Odyssey String Quartet comprises professional musicians who have had a classical training at the top London music conservatoires: the Royal Academy of Music, the Royal College of Music, Trinity College of Music and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. They have played as a group for ten years and during that time have entertained at events all over the country, as well as maintaining a busy schedule of recitals at venues in and around London. As well as playing in the quartet, members work for leading British orchestras, such as English National Ballet, the Hanover Band and English Sinfonia. Members have worked with Robbie Williams, recorded scores for films and animations and played on the luxury Cunard liner, the QE2.

The Odyssey String Quartet has provided music for a host of satisfied clients at weddings, corporate and private functions, dinners, conferences and parties. Their extensive repertoire caters for all tastes, ranging from light classics through to popular favourites. Any special musical requests a client may have can be accommodated.

Caroline Webb (violin), a founding member of the quartet in 1995, studied at the Royal Academy of Music. She now divides her time between quartet playing, teaching and a variety of freelance engagements.

Lucy Cantrill (violin) studied music at Royal Holloway University of London, the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and at Trinity College of Music where she gained her Masters degree in performance. A busy freelance performer, she also tours with Carl Rosa Opera and often plays with the Pump Room Trio, Bath Spa.

Melissa Bastin (viola), a graduate of Kings College London and the Royal Academy of London, has played baroque viola with some of the countries leading specialist orchestras. She has also written a popular piano tuition book: Piano for the Young Football Fanatic.

Helen Nielson (cello) a BSc graduate from the University of Leeds continued studying at the Royal College of Music and is completing a part-time masters degree at Trinity College of Music.
