Richard Scott-Copeland
Richard Scott-Copeland
Professional pianist/organist encompassing all styles
Following studies at the Royal Academy of Music Richard quickly established himself in London as a keyboard specialist, regularly playing in West End Musicals such as Phantom of the Opera, Oliver and Starlight Express. In addition to this he was organist of St Luke’s Chelsea and deputy organist at All Soul’s Langham Place (next to the BBC) and consequently played on many occasions for the daily service on Radio 4.

Now resident in Hampshire for over ten years Richard Scott-Copeland continues to be a professional freelance musician working as an organist (playing for countless weddings and funerals), accompanist to musical societies, musical director, composer/arranger and pianist to theatrical productions.

He has worked with many distinguished artists including the late vocal coach Paul Hamburger, the American close harmony group Take Six, and at two day’s notice performed Poulenc’s celebrated Organ Concerto at the Royal Albert Hall for the BBC promenade concert series!

Richard, with his easily portable keyboard, can perform at any event whether it’s for a wedding, private party or birthday celebration – indoors or al fresco!
