Rhian Williams
Rhian Williams
Traditional and tuneful background music from this popular Harpist
Rhian Williams studied at the Royal College of Music with the world famous concert harpist Marisa Robles, in whose harp quintet Rhian still performs.

Having won the Capital Radio Award in 1985 Rhian performed as a concert soloist with the Wren Orchestra at St. Johnıs Smith Square. She has been engaged privately by eminent music lovers including Prince Michael of Kent for whose 50th birthday she played at Kensington Palace. She has played on tour with the Welsh National Opera, in concert with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, English National Ballet and Northern Ballet and on recordings with the BBC Radio Orchestra. West End credits include South Pacific, Me and My Girl, 42nd Street and Phantom of the Opera.

Today Rhian Williams continues to perform with orchestras in ballet and musical productions and for private engagements at leading London Hotels and venues. She currently enjoys a residency at Harrods and indeed it is the provision of elegant and carefully chosen background music which makes Rhian one of the most sought-after harpists in London. As well as light classical pieces, her repertoire for recital, soiree and background music includes arrangements of Operatic Arias, well known themes from West End shows, Traditional Welsh melodies and her own arrangements of chart songs by artists such as Oleta Adams, Janet Jackson and Diana Ross.
