Stylish Harpist with much experience and always in demand
Born in Anglesey, Catrin gained her Performers’ diploma from The Guildhall School of Music and Drama, where she studied with David Watkins. Postgraduate Studies at the Royal Academy of Music followed with Skaila Kanga from where she graduated in 1994.

Her recent professional work has included performances with the Royal Philharmonic and Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestras, The Halle Orchestra, the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, Southern Sinfonia, Trondheim Symphony Orchestra, London City Ballet, Moscow City Ballet, Northern Ballet Company, The Royal Shakespeare Company, English Touring Opera, the Opera Sao Carlos in Lisbon and the European Chamber Opera.

Catrin Morris Jones was the harpist for the West End production of Oliver! and is currently deputy on Phantom of the Opera and The King and I. Recital performances have included Mozart’s Concerto for the Flute and Harp at the Barbican Hall with the Guildhall Chamber Orchestra, and a World Premiere performance of Adam Gorb’s Harps of Gold, for Harp Quintet, in the Duke’s Hall at the Royal Academy of Music.

In the summer of 1993 Catrin Morris Jones was the only British musician to successfully audition for a place in the Schleswig-Holstein Festival Orchestra, with whom she toured Germany, Spain, Austria, Italy, Denmark, working with conductors such as Sir George Solti and Valery Gergiev.

She has much experience of playing for weddings and her pleasant manner, music selection and reliability makes her an ideal choice for ceremonies and receptions. Booking her only well in advance will guarantee her availability.
