TETRA is an exciting and original ensemble. Since its formation in 1988, these virtuosic guitarists have delighted audiences with their unique blend of fascinating repertoire and polished delivery. They have established themselves as one of the leading ensembles on the scene today.
Tetra have recorded four CDs to date, all of which are frequently given airplay on Classic FM and Radios 3 and 2 as well as on radio stations as far afield as Bombay, Sidney and the USA. Their third CD, Vivaldi's Four Seasons, occupied a full display window in Tower Records on Piccadilly for four successive weeks.

The ensemble has toured extensively, playing at many top venues and festivals in the UK and overseas. In February 1998 they celebrated their tenth anniversary with a recital at London's South Bank Centre. The quartet frequently performs Rodrigo's Concertino Andaluz with some of Britain's top orchestras and broadcasts frequently on national BBC and Independent radio and television.
Stephen Goss won the Julian Bream Prize in his first year at the Royal Academy of Music and holds a PhD from the University of London in composition. His music is published in Germany, the USA and the UK and he has recently written pieces for Jane Manning and the National Youth Choir of Great Britain. He has also recorded and toured world-wide with the soprano Jenevora Williams, the choirboy Anthony Way and various contemporary music ensembles. He is lecturer in Composition at the University of Surrey.
Peter Howe was a student at the Royal College of Music. He has written, performed and directed music for the Royal National Theatre and the Royal Shakespeare Company, touring throughout Europe and the USA, as well as working with many leading contemporary composers. He adjudicates at music festivals and performs regularly as a soloist and ensemble musician.
Graham Roberts studied with Colin Downs and Timothy Walker at the Royal Academy of Music where he was awarded the Julian Bream Prize. He has worked on television and radio throughout the world and has toured with many ensembles. He is a member of the world renowned Pasadena Roof Orchestra and has recently returned from a four-month residency in the Far East where he taught at the University of Manila and toured the Philippines and Hong Kong giving solo recitals.
Gary Ryan studied at the Guildhall School of Music and the Royal Academy of Music and made his London debut for the Park Lane Group Young Artists Series at the Purcell Room in 1994 to exceptional critical acclaim. He has since performed extensively throughout the UK and abroad, winning universal praise for his formidable technique and musicianship, original programming and unique sound. He was appointed as a Professor of Guitar at the Royal College of Music at the age of 27 and is currently an external examiner and teacher for the Guildhall School of Music, Trinity College of Music and the Royal Scottish Academy of Music. In recognition of his achievements he was made an Honorary Associate of the Royal Academy of Music and was also invited to perform his acclaimed interpretation of Sir Michael Tippett's The Blue Guitar at the composer's funeral in 1998.
